December Pack Meeting - Winter Carnival

Argonaut Elementary

Dec 12th, 2018 (Wednesday 7pm)

Our December Pack Meeting featured the Winter Carnival hosted by the Bear Den. The Bear Den families each helped construct a carnival game and let Scouts play the games during the meeting. There were carnival games ranging from a nerf gun shooting range, to a pool noodle toss, to the classic bean bag toss. All the Scouts had a ton of fun and we awarded the "ringers" for each game. It was a great way to end 2018 for our Pack and get in the mood for the holiday break.

Oakland Zoo Sleepover

Oakland Zoo

Nov 3rd - 4th, 2018

This event is a fan favorite for our Pack. Our Pack arrived Friday Night and then we went on a nighttime tour of the Oakland Zoo. We got to the see the Zoo inhabitants in their nighttime routine ranging from the crocodiles, to the insects and amphibians, exhibit, to the upside down bats. We then slept in the auditorium together as a Pack. After breakfast in the morning the Oakland Zoo tour guides did some show and tell with a few different animals like a python and a salamander. It was great to see the animals up close and have the Scouts get to touch their skin and ask questions. Next we explored the creek nearby to look for critters and do a scavenger hunt activity. After the official Oakland Zoo tour/event was over we all got to go into the Zoo for the rest of the day and explore on our own.
